Limaite treated A Lima man was released from a hospital today after being attacked at by an unidentified woman shortly after midnight. The 33-year-old man told Lima police he was: attacked as he walked near the intersection of Third Street and Branson Avenue. Police reports said a woman approached the man from behind and made a comment he did not understand before striking him on the head with a handgun. The two got into a fight, police reports said. The man told police he was able to break free and was running 'southward on Branson when the woman fired one shot, which missed him.

He fled to his home and ported the incident to police. The man was taken to St. Rita's Medical. Center, where he was treated 'for a cut above his left eye, a hospital spokeswoman said. Wednesday, July 1, 1992 The Lima News-A7 Howard L.

Howard Early ously m- previ-'. ployed with Artex as a stationary engineer and he retired 1974 after more than 20 years with Ex-Cell-0 where he was a machine repairman. He attended Lima Baptist Temple and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9648, Columbus Grove; American Legion Post 96; a life member of Elks Lodge 54; a life member of Disabled American Veterans; and the 1st Armoured Division Association. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the African and European theaters with the 1st Armored Division.

Survivors include four daughters, Judy Poe of Mansfield, Mrs. Lynn (Connie) McCluer of Lima, and Mrs. Bill (Deb) Lyle and Mrs. Craig (Cindy) Fruchey, both of Cairo; 15 grandchildren; 10 greatgranchildren; two brothers, Clifford B. Early of Clover, S.C., and Robert J.

She was born June 8, 1939, Delphos, the daughter of Edwinand Lela Putman Lindeman. On March 16, 1957, she married Charles L. Williams who survives. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and had worked at Huffy Bicycle, Celina, and Ex-Cell-0, Lima.

She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church, Delphos; and in recent years, had Holy Rosary Catholic Church, St. Marys. She attended Delphos St. John's High School.

Survivors also include four daughters, Mrs. Darrell (Connie) Bayman of New Knoxville, Mrs. Tim (Cindy). 'Schmidt of Celina, and Bob (Diane) Cotterman and Mrs. Terry (Vickie) Fowler, both of St.
