Summers, 71, a retired farmer from the Shaker Prairie neighborhood, died at 4:50 a.m. Saturday in the Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on June 6, 1893, in Sullivan County, the son of Solomon G.

and Margaret Starner Summers. Mr. Summers was a veteran of World War and belonged to the Carlisle American Legion and the Oaktown Church of Christ. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Guy Wolfe of Carlisle route 3, and a niece, Mrs.

Jean Davis, of Carlisle. Friends may call at the Schulze funeral home in Oaktown after 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The funeral will be conducted there at 2 p.m. Monby Brother Paul Wright of Terre Haute.
